See Tickets Signs Its 50th UK Independent Venue

See Tickets has been selected as primary ticket agent for new Manchester venue YES, which becomes the 50th in its portfolio of independent venues.

See already has long-standing relationships with independent venues across the country including Alexandra Palace, The Albert Hall Manchester, EartH, Lincoln Engine Shed, The Haunt, The Sugarmill, Omeara, The Leadmill, The Village Underground, Electric Ballroom and The Brudenell.

Martin Fitzgerald, Chief Commercial Officer at See Tickets said: “We have always championed independent venues and so we’re incredibly proud to have reached the milestone of having 50 venue partners.

“We put our success down to being completely bespoke in the services we offer, whether its white label ticketing, marketing, access control or web development. Our clients are fiercely committed to the venues they run and we see it as our job to get to know their challenges and do whatever we can to support them.”

Dan Monsell, Head of Programming at EartH said: “There are multiple challenges of opening a new multi-arts space in London and we've been delighted that our ticketing relationship and back-end solution with See for events is working brilliantly for event-goers and the event organisers, right from the off.

“The range and difference of events in the venue space is crucial to what the space is about. It’s such a relief See is able to work so well to facilitate the high-performance service needed for all of these.”

Michael Redpath, Head of Events and Marketing at Lincoln Engine Shed said: “We can genuinely say that working with See has made a tangible difference to our day to day operations. Having access to a dedicated account manager is very valuable to us, as is the marketing support for events and the hardware provided to ensure our events run smoothly.”

See Tickets’ wider UK music client list includes Glastonbury Festival, SJM Concerts, Universal Music Group, Kilimanjaro Live and Crosstown Concerts.

See Tickets Appointed By UK Parliament

See Tickets has been selected to provide the ticket booking system used by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to book tours of the Houses of Parliament.

Customers can book from a selection of guided, self-guided, family and specialist tours, with add-ons including the popular afternoon tea option. These tours run on Saturdays throughout the year and most weekdays during parliamentary recesses including Easter and the summer.

See functionality now powers ticket transactions at parliament.uk/visit. Tour tickets are also on sale at seetickets.com where See retails over 11 million tickets each year for music, theatre, exhibition, attraction, festival, sport and comedy events.

As part of the partnership See Tickets is also providing UK Parliament with access to their specialist groups bookings team, plus sales analysis, access control, customer care and marketing services.

Martin Fitzgerald, Chief Commercial Officer at See Tickets said: “This is a prestigious win for See Tickets not least because the appointment process required us to demonstrate the very highest standards of service, functionality and security across multiple areas of our business. We are also extremely proud to be working with one of the UK’s most iconic attractions.”

Amy Pitts, Director of Visitor and Retail Services at UK Parliament said: “We have been very impressed with See Tickets’ flexible, full-service approach to business. In addition to a robust ticketing system we also now have account management, detailed reporting and a custom web development on hand – this was all central to our decision to work with See as well as their significant experience working with high profile clients.”

See Tickets work with clients including Glastonbury Festival, Kew Gardens, the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks, the British Library, the BBC, Universal Music Group and the Royal Horticultural Society.

John Malkovich returns to the stage in Bitter Wheat

Hollywood is a hell hole.

Everything in Hollywood is for sale except the awards, which are for rent. Bitter Wheat is a play about a depraved Hollywood mogul.

It rips the pashmina off the suppurating wound which is show business, and leaves us better human beings, and fitter to once more confront the horror of life.

Our hero, Barney Fein, is a bloated monster – a studio head, who like his predecessor, the minotaur, devours the young he has lured into his cave. His fall from power to shame is a mythic journey which has been compared to The Odyssey by people who claim to have read that book.

A new play starring John Malkovich in his return to the stage after 33 years, written and directed by David Mamet in a good mood.

Funnier than The Iceman Cometh – more chaos than Richard III, and without all the stupid, so called ‘poetry’. Money, sex, power, you only need one of them to see Bitter Wheat – at the Garrick Theatre from 7th June to 14th September 2019..

Foals UK Headline Tour this Summer!

From playing chaotic house parties in their home city of Oxford to becoming major festival headliners across Europe, Foals’ trajectory has been remarkable. They’ve earned critical acclaim (NME and Q Award wins, plus Mercury Prize, Ivor Novello and BRIT Award nominations) and fan devotion (1.7 million sales of their four Gold-certified albums) in equal measure. And while the majority of contemporaries have fallen by the wayside, Foals continue to hit new peaks.

After more than a decade in the game, Foals again embrace that love for the unconventional with the bravest and most ambitious project of their career: not one, but two astonishing new albums: ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’. A pair of releases, separate but related, they share a title, themes, and artwork. ‘Part 1’ will be released on March 8th, with ‘Part 2’ following in the autumn.
