Ethical Ticket Sales Up 50% at See Tickets

50,000 tickets have been sold through See Tickets’ ethical resale platform Fan to Fan in 2019 so far – an increase of 50% on the same period last year. 

See Tickets launched Fan to Fan in 2017 as a safe and secure space for customers to resell genuinely unwanted tickets but only at the price they paid or less.

Rob Wilmshurst, Global CEO at See Tickets said: “We were the first ticket agency to bring a truly integrated ethical resale site to the market and figures show the service is more in demand than ever.  

“Buyers and sellers want a fair resale platform they can trust and because we only list tickets originally purchased on our site, we can vouch for everything being resold in terms of its validity.”   

Adam Webb, Campaign Manager for FanFair Alliance said: “See Tickets have been vocal about their opposition to exploitative secondary ticketing for many years and FanFair has welcomed the steps they have taken to eliminate touting and provide a better customer experience. It's really encouraging to see ticket buyers embrace Fan to Fan in such numbers.”  

See Tickets also launched an anti-tout digital ticket solution this year which is uniquely tied to a customer’s user account, mobile device and app. The ticket features an auto-refreshing barcode so it cannot be screenshotted and sold on by unauthorised users. This feature has been used on tours for artists including Declan McKenna and Bombay Bicycle Club.

See Tickets also created a paperless ticket for Ed Sheeran’s summer shows in conjunction with promoters Kilimanjaro.

Britain's premier music tastemaker Annie Mac has announced the return of AMP London with the first announcement of artists.

The event will run from Wednesday 4th March until Saturday 7th March, bringing the best new talent in music, from a variety of genres, to the capital's most loved music venues.

AMP London is a showcase and celebration of music across a multitude of genres, featuring intimate underplays with world class artists, future female headliners and emerging indie talent.

After last year's success - with the likes of Sam Fender, Celeste and Two Door Cinema Club featuring - the first wave of bands featuring on 2020’s bill is once again star-studded:

“We are featuring a really diverse mix of styles and sounds on these line ups, reflecting the substantial amount of future female headliners breaking through the ranks; Joy Crookes, Beabadoobee, Arlo Parks, Miraa May, as well as the rich amount of indie bands making their mark on the scene, Blossoms, The Big Moon, Cabbage and Inhaler, to name a few.”

This is just the beginning however, and there are many more names to be announced for this celebration of music.

Tickets for CarFest, the UK’s biggest family fundraising festival will go on sale at 8am on Wednesday 20th November 2019!

The brainchild of radio presenter Chris Evans, CarFest takes place in two locations across two weekends in July and August respectively, and has been described as the UK’s biggest village fete, with a mission to bring the true spirit of family to life.

The weekend is packed to the brim with activities for every member of the family, with this year promising more music, more cars and even more stars in attendance!

The 2020 events will also see CarFest continue on its mission to #GoGreen and achieve its goal of being 100% Carbon Neutral on its primary emissions and will be the first UK festival to encourage visitors to offset their carbon footprint with a donation towards the planting of 1000 trees.

Lennon Stella has announced her 2020 tour and has released her new single ‘Kissing Other People’ via Insanity Records! The song was written by Lennon Stella, Caroline Ailin, Simon Wilcox and Captain Cuts and produced by Captain Cuts and Malay. ‘Kissing Other People’ will be featured on Lennon’s forthcoming debut album and is her first single since collaborating with The Chainsmokers and ILLENIUM on their summer anthem ‘Takeaway.’

Of the new single, Lennon Stella says: “This song came to life last summer in Cabo at a writing camp with all of my favourite writers and producers. Caroline Ailin and I were in an Uber driving home from a club and she asked me about boys. I said to her something about finally feeling like I was at a place where I could kiss someone else and not feel sorry about it or feel like I was doing something wrong. The next day in her session she started ‘Kissing Other People’ and then it turned into what it is."

See Tickets has signed a three-year deal with South London’s Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, becoming the club’s primary ticketing partner and a sponsor. 

The club, who are part of the National League South, have recently played friendlies against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace. They are known for The Rabble – an activist element of their supporter group who promote community cohesion and anti-discriminatory views.
